‘Dead Man's Shoes’
by Leslie Herman and Mat Pringle

Tue, May 30, 17 / James BDP

In partnership with Warp Films we're very excited to release a poster for Shane Meadows' revenge slasher 'Dead Man's Shoes' by the brilliant Leslie Herman, plus a cracking hand-carved linocut print by perennial BDP favourite Mat Pringle.

Released in 2004 , 'Dead Man's Shoes' is unlike anything else you've ever seen. Shot on a shoestring budget, this dark, challenging film sees Richard (Paddy Considine) set off in a path of vengeful destruction, slowly but surely increasing the tension, culminating in its infamous final reveal. We won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but just be warned this film is not happy or even fun. What it is though, is easily one of the most exceptional British films ever made.

Leslie Herman's 'Dead Man's Shoes' comes in two editions. The regular edition is a stark and gritty two colour version from an edition of 60, and the variant a more subdued 3-colour design printed on a deep black paper stock from an edition of 40. Mat Pringle's signed prints are hand-carved linocut impressions on Japanese printmaking paper from an edition of 60. A wonderful little gem of a print.

'Dead Man's Shoes' by Leslie Herman and Mat Pringle will go on sale this Friday 02 June at 3pm UK time from our online shop
